Tobi Indyke is owner and head artist at Periwinkle Skies, LLC. Tobi has transformed residential and commercial spaces with her artistry. She offers several solutions for each project formulated with sensitivity to the needs of the client and the planet. Her repertoire includes a host of artistic solutions: Venetian plaster, glazing, faux bois, inlay, gold leaf, fresco, encaustic, painted furniture, stencils, and murals.
A return to ancient techniques using natural materials is particularly important to Tobi. Her desire to use authentic mediums was prompted by industry-wide concerns regarding a variety of health problems caused by long-term exposure to commercially made petro-chemical paints and solvents. This has been her inspiration for working with sustainable plasters, waxes, paints and colorants to create each Venetian plaster, faux finish, and decorative painting.
Tobi received a bachelor’s degree in fine art at RIT. She is a seasoned decorative artist with years of experience as an art director. Her lifelong pursuit of stretching techniques and materials to their limits has taken her finishes to new heights.
